a little about us
-Style
A question I often get is "What is your style?" That can be tough to answer sometimes because I don't think I fit into one label. That being said, I spent more than 20 years as a photojournalist so I can't help but be informed by that experience. I pride myself on being able to make beautiful photos anywhere, anytime and under any conditions, which comes from years of experience, pressure and deadlines. I think photojournalism provides a more important skill though, the ability to recognize and capture real moments and tell a story with photographs. My hope is that when you look at your wedding photos in 20 years time, you will be able to feel the emotions of the day as well as see every detail and rite of passage. I would encourage you to look through the photos on this website and ask yourself if you think these are the "style" of photos you would want to remember your wedding day.
-How we work
We have fun. It's a short answer but it kind of sums it up. If you are having fun, your pictures will be great. Everyone looks better when they are happy! We keep everything moving and don't get bogged down trying to "perfect that one pose". We will direct you when needed and put you in the locations and light to make you look great and make a great photo. Our goal is to create the atmosphere where great photos will happen. When it comes to important moments and rites of passage, we go for the fly-on-the-wall approach, no one wants the photographer making a show during the vows.
